S856 and S866 Multifunctional lock-out for valves and circuit breakers

For those who are not familiar with it, lockout-tagout or LOTO is a safety procedure in which all energy sources of machines and installations are isolated, locked-out and marked before maintenance may take place. While preforming a lockout-tagout procedures, use is made of safety padlocks, safety tags and lock-out devices such as cable lock-outs.

The cable lock-outs S856 and S866 are ideal for simultaneous locking of multiple valves and/or circuit breakers. The newly designed retractor mechanism ensures that the overflowing cable is stored away in the case during use. As an additional advantage, the device it self is also easier to transport and store. The S856 and the S866 both have a 2.74 meter cable with a cable diameter of 3.3mm. Due to the ratchet mechanism of the cable reel, the locking can easily be tightened for correct locking of the energy source. The excess cable will be neatly rolled up in the case.

The S856 has a steel cable with thermoplastic coating ideal for valves and other mechanical lock-out applications. The S866 has a nylon cable with a thermoplastic coating specifically designed for electrical applications where the use of non-conductive materials are highly desired. In case of a cable fracture, replacement cables ban be ordered separately for both versions.
