USP informs professionals of CRH from all over Europe during the CRH Europe Safety Best Practice Meeting

During the CRH Safety Conference, professionals from all over Europe come together to share their best examples from practice. USP will inform participants about the most current possibilities of machine safety.

Last year Robert van de Ven (USP) was invited as a guest speaker during one of the CRH Benelux Safety Meetings to inform the professionals about the possibilities of the Fortress Captive Key. This year he is attending the event together with his colleague Rick de Jonge to represent Unique Safety Products during the CRH Europe Safety Best Practice Meeting in Amsterdam. During this congress, Lockout-Tagout is one the most important points of attention.

During this meeting professionals from all over Europe of the various companies and divisions of CRH come together to share the best examples from practice. Machine safety is a very topical subject within CRH and USP will be there to inform the participants about the most current possibilities of Lockout tagout, Interlocks, safety switches, permission switches and machine protection.

Over the last years, USP had the chance to frequently advise CRH in securing its machines, including mixers, traverse tracks, cubicle jobs and palletizers. Especially the use of our robust PLe / SIL 3 certified Interlocks or Captive Key systems are ideal for use in the cement and concrete industry. Our products are designed for years of intensive use under the most severe industrial conditions. Our door locks and safety switches have a maximum tensile load of up to 10,000 N, and have been tested up to 1 million operations. In addition, our products are equipped with very large alignment tolerances, an absolute requirement in coarse-material environments. Our Interlock systems are ideal for upgrading machine safety on existing installations, because there is a minimal need to intervene on the control.

To Roberts van de Ven opinion it’s of great importance to properly inform professionals about machine safety;

''It is very good to notice that such a great deal of attention goes out to machine safety. A safe working environment is of the highest priority within CRH. Very understandable, since we are talking about the most valuable capital of every company; here employees.’’

In case you have any questions about our products, please feel free to contact one of our professionals. They will inform you without any obligation about the best possible applications within your company.
